Fixed Term Contract Position
8:6 FIFO Roster – Ex Perth to Murrin Murrin
Minara Resources is wholly owned by Glencore, one of the world’s largest global diversified natural resource companies. The Murrin Murrin Operations in Western Australia’s northern goldfields mines and processes both nickel and cobalt and is the largest producer of laterite nickel in the southern hemisphere.
The Role:
An opportunity has become available for a self-motivated Mechanical Draftsperson to join our Murrin Murrin team in a site-based FIFO role. As part of a small drafting team, you will provide support to both our Engineering and Maintenance teams. This is a ‘hands-on’ role where you will have the opportunity to get ’out and about’ and really see your designs come to life. Your initiative and focus on continuous improvement will be a vital part of this role.
This role has the potential for growth and is ready for someone to step in and make things happen.
Key Duties
• Preparation & revision of drawings
• Revision of P&IDs
• Mechanical & piping layout design using 3D Modelling on Microstation
• Field measurement and ‘as-building’ of mechanical equipment & piping
Position Requirements
• Formal mechanical drafting qualifications
• Trade background highly regarded
• Experience in a site-based mechanical drafting role, preferably within a complex processing plant environment
• Experience using Microstation
The Lifestyle:
At this stage a fixed term contract position is available on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster, FIFO from Perth (or DIDO from the Goldfields). We fly to site on jets making it a short and comfortable flight and our village is well equipped to keep you entertained, with a gym, tennis courts, basketball courts, cricket nets, swimming pool and tavern. All our rooms have an ensuite bathroom and our chefs will ensure you are well fed.
