We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Category Analyst to join the Supply Chain Services Department, based in our Brisbane or Adelaide office.

Reporting to the Team Leader Procurement, this position is required to manage all aspects of the Logistics procurement category in support of the company’s operations and development activities. This encompasses both the GLNG and Cooper assets, in a way which optimises risk and value in order to contribute to Santos’ competitive advantage.

Accountabilities include:

  • Lead and manage the Logistics category for all Santos onshore encompassing GLNG and the Cooper Basin assets
  • Apply strategic procurement acumen to deliver supply chain solutions which contribute to Santos’ competitive advantage
  • Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to ensure needs are understood and supply chain strategies aligned
  • Identify and support delivery of integrated supply chain solutions comprising requisition to pay, logistics and materials management
  • Build and maintain business relationships with key suppliers for assigned category
  • Lead the management and development of on-going contracts to drive contractual performance and continuous improvement
  • Lead and contribute to high level and complex negotiations
  • Ensure contracts within assigned category are maintained to high standard and adequately administered
  • Ensure all sourcing and contracting activities comply with Joint Venture Agreements

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified preferably in a relevant subject such as supply chain management, business, law, engineering or project management.  

You will demonstrate expert knowledge in category management and/or strategic sourcing, preferably within maintenance, operations or logistics related environments and bring extensive experience with the logistics category. 

Your proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders, through excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is essential for this role.

Experience within the oil and gas, mining or similar industry will be highly regarded.
