The ideal candidate will have knowledge of design for fabrication and equipment manufacture, and be responsible for creating certified, safe and legally compliant engineered solutions. The successful candidate will have access to new facilities, first class training and the latest equipment information.
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, your roster will be Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day at our Reid Road Perth Airport branch.
Responsibilities:
- Designing machine modifications
- Analyse Engineering Design Orders (EDO) and consult with stakeholders and suppliers to evaluate and create designs that fulfil customer requirements and technical specifications
- Scope out design, conduct stress analysis for engineering activities
- Produce Quality Documents and Manufacturing Packs
- Create Risk Reports as required
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8 years post qualification experience
- Experience with computer aided design (CAD)
- The ability to produce manual design calculations and professional engineering documentation
- Understanding of Australian and International design standards and guidelines
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with AutoDesk Inventor
- Experience in finite element analysis (FEA)
- Experience with safety and risk assessment
