The Role

We are looking for a great Project Engineer Lead to join our West Musgrave Project team. This is a 18 month fixed-term position reporting to the Project Director – West Musgrave and will be responsible for bringing the project engineering skills required to deliver the project through the Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Study in support of OZ Minerals’ growth strategy.

  • Apply project and technical engineering principles, tools and techniques to the West Musgrave Project to ensure on time and on budget delivery of all studies.

Delivering Superior Results:

  • You will closely with the Project Director and Deputy Project Director and other team members to ensure project is delivered on time and budget.
  • You will manage the activities of external consultants while maintaining an agile and flexible approach to the study.
  • Updating/maintaining project budget and schedules and minutes, monitor critical path and implement time critical solutions.
  • You have experience in remote location large infrastructure projects, focus on capital reduction strategies for non-process infrastructure.
  • You develop and evaluate appropriate solutions to any other issues which may affect the project.

 

You will bring:

  • A degree qualification in an Engineering discipline with relevant working experience.
  • Previous experience in a base metals concentrator and open pit mine at a pre-feasibility and/or feasibility level.
  • Experience in managing consultants, preparing scopes of work, reporting and preparing minutes, scheduling and budgeting, and infrastructure development.
  • Multidisciplinary engineering knowledge across both process and non-process engineering disciplines.
