The Role:

We are currently looking for two Geology Technicians to undertake a 12 month contract at our DeGrussa/Monty Copper mine. The role will report to the Senior Technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Complete diamond core processing tasks including orientation, metre marking, RQD, photography, cutting and sampling as required to keep unprocessed core at a minimum at all times.
• Maintain all department equipment, including vehicles, to a high standard. Report damage or malfunctions to your supervisor.
• Maintain all department work areas, including Core yard and storage areas to a high standard.
• Ensure samples are submitted to onsite laboratory with correct paperwork including QAQC samples.

Key requirements for this role include:

• Some Core Processing work or similar experience is preferable.
• Demonstrated commitment to a high level of safety culture and continuous improvement.
• Ability to read and interpret mine maps and communicate concerns as they arise.
• Ability to work unsupervised for long periods throughout the shift
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Manual Driver's License
• Forklift certification
• Effective time management skills.
• Strong computer skills.

This role is offered with a Night Shift 7:7, FIFO roster from Perth.
