About the Role
Reporting to the Manager Maintenance, you will lead the Fixed Plant Maintenance Team to ensure the safe execution of maintenance activities (including shutdowns) to optimize plant and equipment availability. As an effective leader, you will be charged to develop and build the capability of the team. You will lead the team to operate in a climate of continuous improvement, being accountable and ensuring that all work is aligned with business critical success factors.
In this role, you will cultivate strong relationships through effective communication and consultation, positively influencing the Fixed Plant Maintenance function and shape the culture to ensure a safe, productive, quality, sustainable and disciplined approach to work.
The Superintendent Fixed Plant/Infrastructure Maintenance will successfully lead the team in:
- Ensuring a safe system of work to protect the health and safety of people and the environment
- Executing high quality, precision maintenance outcomes
- Ensuring an engaged culture, inclusive and diverse culture, where everyone is motivated to their full potential
- Managing performance targets and plans aligned to the Corporate Alignment Planning (CAP) processes
- Improve productivity and disciplined application of the BHP Operating Model, and its standards, processes and systems.
About You
You will be a forward-thinking leader with a strong focus on safety, inclusion and diversity, productivity and maximising the benefit of technology. Your solid understanding of maintenance and engineering practices will be supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in delivering outstanding results in asset maintenance. Previous experience in leading and mentoring multi-disciplinary diverse teams through effective communication coupled with strong operational discipline is required for the success of this role.
With exposure to asset management principles, notably overall equipment effectiveness and a strong understanding of maintenance system processes, you will be confident in working through change management in a complex environment.
A performance and achievement orientated professional, your technical strengths with significant maintenance experience will be complemented by engagement and communication skills, high energy levels, and an action oriented attitude tempered by simplicity.
