Modular Mining Systems, Inc., a subsidiary of Komatsu, is the global leader in providing solution based real-time systems to the mining industry. Due to the expansion of Modular's Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) business, we have an immediate need for a Training Specialist to be based in Perth, Australia. Modular, in collaboration with Komstsu, offer the World's first commercially available autonomous truck and fleet solution.

The AHS product is at the forefront of mining technology as one of the most cost effective solutions for fleet management, delivering unrivalled safety and fleet optimisation in complex mining environments without the requirement of a truck operator. Modular currently supports successful AHS operations in Chile and Australia, demonstrating Modular's ability to deliver high value, cutting edge solutions.

Delivering high quality training services at an exemplary standard is our goal. You will train customers and employees in using Modular products by using audio/visuals, in-seat, classroom, hands-on training methods to improve system usage and improve customer value. Additionally, you will problem solve system malfunctions by troubleshooting and testing codes to verify system functionality. Furthermore, you will develop training modules by creating documentation, audio-visual, and other tools to enable delivery of professional training services.

Candidates must possess an excellent working knowledge of DISPATCH® central as well as mobile system software applications. Experience with providing training to individuals and groups in a classroom and operational setting is preferred.

The essential job requirements:

• Extensive mining experience at an operational level

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Exceptional Customer Service skills

• Minimum intermediate level computer skills

• Fly in / Fly out to remote work locations, varied shifts covering days and nights

• Frequent travel throughout Australasia, involving upwards of 80% of your time, is an essential requirement of the position

   

  The desirable job requirements:

• Experience with facilitating presentations in a group and classroom environment

• Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment

• Experience in other MMS/ Komatsu products is preferred (specifically DISPATCH®)

• Operational AHS experience is preferred
