The Drill and Blast Engineer will be an integral member of the Mining Operations team that will oversee the development and completion of the Bald Hill Lithium Project. The successful candidate will initially be responsible for drill and blast design and progress claim, weekly plan, budget & forecast, and will assume a more operational role as the Project transitions to a steady state of operation and development.  In this role, the Engineer will interact, monitor and provide oversight to project manager and client representative as appropriate. 

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the role will encompass:

• Drill and Blast design using Surpac Software.
• Assist with weekly Production Scheduling.
• Assis Project manager on supervision.
• Assisting with budgets and financial planning
• Planning and scheduling of new and developed projects to ensure targets are being met financially and operationally and complying with standards
• Provide support to the Chief of Operations and Chief Financial Officer and other operational management teams as required
• Identify and monitor business improvement opportunities
• Other duties as requested from senior management

Qualifications, skills and experience required

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years in experience in drill and blast operation at a mine site
• Experience using Surpac Software
• Attention to detail
• Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Ability to work to tight deadlines on multiple tasks
• Valid WA  Drivers Licence
