We are Australia’s largest privately owned mining, construction and maintenance services company, working across the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors

BGC Contracting has been awarded a $700M, 5 year contract to deliver mining and equipment maintenance services at Boggabri open-cut coal mine in NSW for our client Idemitsu. As a result, we are looking to support our project team and provide our next career opportunity for an experienced Storeperson.

This residential role, reporting to Planning and Stores Superintendent, the Storeperson will work a roster of 5 days on, 2 days off, and is responsible for overseeing the operations of the stores personnel, maintaining the stores/laydown in accordance with BGC Contracting procedures.

Working in this diverse environment, with a One Shirt One Team culture and a strong commitment to safety and the community, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring stock is maintained and according to required targets specified by Supervisor.
• Adhere to the BGC Contracting materials management work standard, service exchange work procedure and the parts tagging work procedure.
• Conducting stocktaking and spot-checking of site inventory as directed/required.
• Loading and uploading of inventory from heavy vehicle and warehouse locations.
• Identification and investigation of anomalies between physical and recorded inventory levels.

What we’re looking for:

• 3 – 5 years experience working as a Storeperson on a mine site
• Team supervisory experience is highly desirable
• Demonstrated knowledge of receivable and despatch
• Certificate II in Warehousing and Distribution is desirable
• Knowledge of JDEdwards system is highly regarded
• Must hold a valid Australia drivers licence and a High Risk forklift licence
• A Crane and EWP licence is desirable
