What you will be delivering

This role will be at the forefront of the energy transformation and is central to understanding and managing the renewable energy needs of our Victorian communities & customers.  This person will have a deep customer focus & relationship building as part of their DNA.  This role will be an integral part of enabling a renewable energy future for Victoria.  This role involves developing an understanding of the current & future needs of our customers and communities so that we can propose innovative & workable customer/network solutions

Duties:
• Identify, engage and build relationships with customers & community organisations
• Establish and actively manage a register of Community Energy projects, manage pipeline of works and communicate roadmap to internal delivery teams
• Lead the thinking for the AusNet Services regulated community offering, by identifying future service/product concepts that align with customer/community needs, business needs and network capabilities
• Establish relationships within AusNet Services to provide workable solutions for customers & communities.  Provide support to project teams, consult with internal subject matter experts, and research technical aspects of the project to produce relevant project briefs and documentation
• Ability to work with communities (and network planners) on capacity and approximate costs to connect the network in the chosen location
• Be part of the team that influences how we construct our customer journeys
• Form plans to educate distributed energy installers and manufacturers on network solutions
• Represent and present the views of AusNet Services at community energy / stakeholder meetings
• Presenting succinctly to media, effectively representing Ausnet Services
• Give direction for the development of marketing and communications materials to support and educate communities and stakeholders
• Provide information about trends and events in community energy and government policy
• Act as a point of contact for customers & communities throughout the project lifecycle
• Feed community and customer issues back to senior management where appropriate

What we like about you

•  A strong understanding of renewable energy, Victoria’s energy networks and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent communication/presentation skills & experience with media.
• Sophisticated relationship building & management
• Some understanding of distributed energy would be well regarded.
• Commercial skills essential.
• A self-starter and impeccable organisational skills and follow up
