About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor / Planner at our Coppabella Mine. Our Coppabella Moorvale mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometers southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverised coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.

Coppabella's primary equipment consists of 1 dragline, 2 electric rope shovels, 4 excavators and associated mobile fleet including electric drive trucks, to produce upwards of 4mtpa.

Reporting to the Field Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for the planning and supervision of electrical works across both field and mobile equipment. As an authorised Electrician, you will also be required to use your technical skills, knowledge and coal mining expertise to maximise equipment availability and reliability in line with the maintenance strategy along with the following duties.

Duties will include:

• Safety management of maintenance activities
• Efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance activities
• Provide direction for all electrical equipment installations and maintenance
• Provide direction and technical assistance for work carried out in close proximity to electrical installations
• Provide direction on the execution of electrical work
• Manage electrical maintenance strategies to ensure reliable circuit interruption, earth system integrity, limiting prospective touch voltage, minimizing potential impacts from voltage rise and inadvertent contact with exposed live parts above extra low voltage
• Scheduled maintenance execution to plan
• Equipment breakdown management
• Planning for Field & Mobile electrical equipment
• Adherence to work management processes

The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a 7/7 rotating day shift only roster and can allow for a residential, DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.

About You:

• Relevant Trades qualification namely CURRENT QLD Electrical workers licence or equivalent Electrical Fitter and Electrical Mechanic
• 3+ Years Supervisory experience along with the Coal Mining Supervisor competencies
• Experience working on P&H Electric Rope Shovel and / or Marion Dragline will be highly advantageous
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and ability to foster and maintain a positive safety culture
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are key components of this role as you will work with closely with a variety of stakeholders
• Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (SAP experience is highly desirable).
