Millennium Minerals Limited, an ASX listed company is a recognised rising star of the Australian Gold Industry with a proven discovery track record, a substantial gold resource base and a strong platform for the continuation and building of a significant mid-tier Australian gold production house.
We continue this success into 2018 as Millennium is embarking on a future changing project of Underground Mining this year. This will complement and be concurrent to our existing Open Cut Mining in Nullagine. With this exciting expansion we are looking for a suitably qualified Senior Mine Geologist to join the family.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a self-motivated team professional to join us in the Pilbara. Reporting to the Mine Manager and working a lifestyle friendly 12:9 roster, you will work as part of a technical services team including of Mine Geologists, Engineers and Surveyors.
As a Senior Mine Geologist, your role will include but not be limited to:
- Daily tonnage reconciliation
- Grade control mapping and drilling, sampling, plans and interpretations
- Ore mining and stock management
- Monthly reporting of our Open Pit and soon to be Underground environment.
- Assist the Mining Team to implement the mining methodology to minimise dilution and maximise recovery of resources;
- You will be heavily involved in the inaugural underground mine project launched in early 2018
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate 5+ years' relevant experience in open pit gold mining with strong Surpac expertise being highly regarded.
Even more importantly, you will also possess 2-3 years of underground mining experience with Narrow Vein Gold strongly desirable.
