About the business and the role
Applecross Electrical and Testing Services is the longest continuously operating inspection and engineering services provider in the southwest of Western Australia. Specializing in services provided to the energy and mining sectors in the region.
We are seeking certified NDT technicians to join our team to perform ongoing maintenance shutdown work.
Job tasks and responsibilities
You will be required to:
- Work flexible hours (Dayshift/Nightshift)
- Perform Inspections, Complete Worksheets and compile reports in accordance with procedures and national standards
- Work in a safe manner
- Abide by a code of conduct
- Understand and operate within the requirements of the applicable Australian Standards
Skills and experience
Candidates will require:
- Minimum ISO 9712 Level 2 Certification in 1 NDT method (MT,PT,RT or UT)
- Western Australian Industrial Radiographers Assistant Ticket
- Nationally Accredited Confined Space & Working at HeightsTraining
- Ability to Pass in-house proficiency tests
- Experience and understanding of working within Australian safety and technical standards
- Current rights to work in Australia
Candidates with one or more of the following attributes will be highly regarded:
- Local southwest residents
- ISO 9712 certification in multiple techniques (MT2, PT2, RT2, UT1&2)
- Western Australian Industrial Radiographers License
- IRATA Level 1/2 certification
- Coal & Gas fired boiler / Refinery / Turbine experience
- Western Australian Elevated Work Platform License
- Knowledge of NATA requirements
- Computer literacy
