The Opportunity – Senior Mine Planner- Appin
Based on site, the purpose of the Senior Planner is to provide leadership and direction for the planning activities for short and midterm scheduling horizons. The Senior Planner needs to ensure the development and communication of integrated plans and schedules across production and maintenance activities to enable safe, well planned and coordinated work.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Lead team to build and communicate accurate work plans and schedules from one week to two years
- Support production teams to ensure execution plans align with integrated plans and schedules
- Accountable for identifying critical path tasks to be delivered
- Lead a site based integrated schedule to align all project and capital execution tasks
- Provide mentoring and guidance to a planning team
- Lead Authority to Mine (ATM) process
- Lead weekly and monthly planning processes
- Develop and manage master schedules
- Analyse labour, materials and material handling requirements and implement an executable plan
- Monitor resource availability and allocation across various disciplines of a project
- Monitor actual progress, compare to baseline and report progress against schedule
About You

- Bachelor of Engineering- Mining (or equivalent)
- NSW Statutory qualifications (desired)
- 5 years’ experience in Planning and Scheduling
- Underground Coal Experience (preferred)
- 3 years Planning Leadership
- Demonstrated experience in being responsible for budgets and project management at a team level
