The role:
Boral Quarries is seeking an experienced individual to join our team as Quarry Supervisor. In this role you will be responsible for supervising the operations of the Yatala Quarry, while also ensuring the supplied quarry products meet the relevant Australian Standards and customer specifications.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate operations to meet product output requirements
- Establish and maintain high standards of work performance and optimum levels of product / equipment quality
- Ensure that plant and equipment are operated within safe working conditions and to ensure that operations meet the environmental and legislative requirements
- Supervise and ensure that an efficient preventative maintenance program is achieved
- Anticipate future production requirements and devise appropriate action plans, and
- Ensure that customers receive high quality products and services consistent with or better than expectations.
Your particulars:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in supervising a quarry operation
- Relevant qualifications in quarry supervision, such as a Cert IV in Extractive Industries
- Strong people skills and communication skills
- A strong focus on OH&S and improving the safety culture on the site
- A good understanding of Crushing and Screening, and
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all people, and to lead and influence people.
