As the Finance and Administration Manager at Mt Arthur, you will report directly to the site Project Manager and work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality results and analysis.  

To support our ongoing mining services work at Mt Arthur, this diverse role you will provide professional advice, support and guidance to the project team to ensure financial targets are achieved. This is a hands-on role where you will lead a small team in the execution of your deliverables.  Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Manage the Finance and Administration functions of the Mt Arthur site
• Report the financial position of the project in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with accounting standards and group accounting policies
• Demonstration safety leadership
• Lead the administration team to ensure finance/administration processes are followed
• Liaise with the client to ensure progress claims are lodged, certified and paid in accordance with contract requirements
• Undertake monthly cost reviews with all project functional managers.
• Manage finance and administration systems to meet project requirements
• Lead, coach and develop F&A team members by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance and mentoring

We are ideally seeking candidates with the following skills and attributes:

• 5+ years leadership experience in finance and administration functions
• Bachelor of Commerce with accounting major
• Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Established experience working in a mining or heavy industry environment
