About the business and the role

Stork is seeking Heat Treatment Technicians for its newly integrated Australian operation incorporating the industrial services businesses of Fluor Australia, Giovenco Industries and Stork Technical Services.  Stork is now a Fluor Company and is preparing itself for growth in Australia through the combination of services from all three businesses and leveraging synergies with the Fluor EPC business.

Heat Treatment Technicians

Individuals qualified/experienced to carry out PWHT operations in accordance with written instructions.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Set up and monitor electric Pre-Heating and PWHT
• Ability to assist in the set-up and monitoring of gas PWHT
• Select techniques
• Supervise PWHT and trainees
• Pass the internal examination
• Interpret results
• Knowledge and understanding of codes
• Maintaining correct administration and customer relations in accordance with both customer and company procedures, also including completion proper documentation, working in accordance with quality control specifications and procedures
• Knowledge of personal safety, safety of colleagues, safe working habits, accident prevention.

Skills and experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in similar role within the heat treatment industry
• Computer literate and demonstrate high communication skills
• Good Health, work will be in tropical regions.
• Has the ability to work independently on-site worldwide.
• Good listener (capable of understanding internal and customer needs)
• Good communication skills.
• Customer focused.
• Work in a team environment.
• Have a proactive attitude and can be self-reliant, also cope with changing priorities.
