Nome Services has a large manufacturing and warehousing workshop in Paget, Mackay, Queensland for all major projects, along with a warehouse in Brisbane for larger long term consumables and supplies.
Job tasks and responsibilities
NOME Services are currently seeking an electrical tradesman to install and maintain its real time monitoring equipment throughout underground coal mine's in the Bowen Basin area. In this role the technician will perform daily data checks, attend to any alerts as required, weekly electrical inspections of all instruments and components, install future instruments and equipment as mine advances, assist the tech services department with maintenance of surface electrical equipment. The technician is responsible for planning their own tasks within the mines system, attending daily pre-shift meetings. Applicant must be based in Bowen basin area with minimum 2 years underground coal experience
Skills and experience
Electrical trade certificate is required for this role with instrumentation experience preferred but not essential. At least 2 years underground experience, be able to work by themselves and in a team environment, be motivated and self driven. Applicant must be based in Mackay or Bowen Basin area. Standard 11, Coal Board Medical, Hazardous Area, LV rescue competencies are all essential
