About the company
A major resources entity; formed in 1999 after a merger. Employing over 900 staff globally. FIFO (8 on / 6 off) located in South Australia working in and around mine operations and maintenance.
About the role
This role would be responsible for providing environmental support and advice to the operations team to ensure compliance with environmental obligations.
Achieving environmental benchmarks is key to this role. This is a hands on role and there is a goal of zero harm. Training, assisting, mentoring and enforcing policy are key responsibilities.
Duties
- Actively supporting and participating in safety and environmental initiatives
- Manage Radiation risk and compliance preferably as an accredited Radiation Safety Officer
- Compliance - Health, Safety and Environment - with a focus on Environmental Management
- Experience in improving and or implementation of best practices in environmental management
Skill and experience
Are you passionate about Environmental Health and compliance?
- Degree in Environmental Science or Equivalent
- 3+ years experience working in heavy industry, mining or construction
- Radiation Safety Officer - Preferred
- GIS system experience - ArcGIS
- Current Class C Drivers License and must be able to drive a manual 4WD
