We are now seeking a vibrant, skilled and enthusiastic full-time retail buyer to join our small team.

We strive to provide our clients with the best quality hair at affordable prices, which is where your expertise and knack for generating savings will come into play.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage inventory levels including online retail channel inventory
• Monitor markets and analyse sales data
• Anticipate and forecast for consumer trends
• Search for, select and buy hair pieces
• Maintain relationships with current and source new suppliers both overseas and domestic
• Lead negotiations with suppliers for both hair and salon products
• Design and implement marketing and promotional strategies
• Work closely with the Director on long-term planning and sales promotions
• Manage orders and deliveries
• Perform QC checks on all incoming stock and liaise with suppliers regarding returns
• Complete management of the buying cycle
• Update and maintain system files and database integrity

Skills and experience

• Relevant qualification
• At least two years of relevant work experience
• Ability to quickly grasp the nature of the business
• Ability to organise
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to establish rapport
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
