Raeco is a leading supplier and consultant in the library industry. With our head office in Knoxfield, VIC. We service libraries across Australia, New Zealand and Asia with a comprehensive range of materials for operational use and bespoke fit-out solutions. Reporting to the Commercial Manager and having interaction with a number of other stakeholders including customer service, area managers, distribution and suppliers, this role requires the ability to take ownership and communicate throughout the supply chain for effective delivery of goods and services.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and control a Purchasing team of 2 reporting staff
- Develop and implement strategies to deliver continuous improvements in cost savings through targeted projects and supply negotiations
- Regularly benchmark and validate supplier performance re price, service and quality, through data analysis and feedback from stakeholders.
- Place purchase orders on Key Suppliers in accordance with the procedures
- Expedite & Invoice purchase orders for direct to client and indirect delivery
- Maintain delivery information and advice to all stakeholders
- Resolve delivery issues or escalate to appropriate parties as necessary
- Maintaining inventory control information system
- Processing imported goods consignments
- Supplier Contract formation and administration
Attributes Required
- Purchasing, expediting and inventory control experience using an ERP system
- Highly developed computer skills (word/excel) with exposure to Pronto an advantage
- Highly effective negotiation, communication, organization and priority skills
- Ability to take ownership and deliver a high standard of customer service
- Warehouse, Inwards Goods and Invoicing experience an advantage
- Understanding of OH&S procedures
