About Us

Autobarn is one of Australia's largest retailers of automotive aftermarket parts and accessories.  Autobarn Moonah is seeking the services of an experienced retail leader to join our team as Store Manager.

The Position

The Store Manager will assist the Franchisee in the daily management of the store and lead, mentor and motivate a team of passionate and energetic people in delivering exceptional service to our valued customers, and achieve store performance targets.

The successful applicant will be a self-motivated and driven person with a proven track record of achieving sales and profitability targets, exceptional customer service and communication skills, people and organisational skills as well as being reliable and trustworthy.  To be considered you will also need to demonstrate the following:

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a retail environment
  • A proven background in people management, team leadership, recruitment and training
  • A flair for creative retail merchandising and executing in-store promotions
  • A proven history of meeting or exceeding sales and productivity targets
  • Experience with staff rostering
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Experience in stock receiving, dead stock management and rolling stocktake procedures
  • Managing individual and team performance
  • Competence in Microsoft Office programs and an aptitude to learn new POS and Inventory Management systems and work procedures
  • Ability to maintain high workplace health and safety standards
  • A current unrestricted driver’s licence and reliable motor vehicle
  • The ability to work on weekends and Public Holidays as required
  • Intrastate and interstate travel as required

Desirable Requirements

  • Automotive parts and accessories experience, however experienced leaders from other retail sectors are also encouraged to apply
  • Completion of, or progress towards, a Retail Management qualification
  • A current Fork Lift licence
  • A current First-Aid Certificate
  • A current Working With Vulnerable People registration

A salary package commensurate with experience and a performance-based incentive bonus as well as a generous staff discount is on offer for the right person.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a Police Background Check not less than six months old prior to commencement.
