About the Opportunity at HPM

Working as a respected Retail team member and reporting to the Retail State Manager VIC, the Area Manager is responsible for developing sales for HPM Legrand products to the Retail customer base which is primarily based in the Western and Northern suburbs. Some country travel is also required. We are looking for a motivated individual seeking diversity and responsibility, who believes they can be a major contributor to our values and objectives.

This role will report to the Retail State Manager VIC/TAS, with duties that include:

• Establishing and maintaining regular call cycles and working to a call plan
• Developing and growing sales with customers within the specified territory
• Assisting with Bunnings new store set ups and refits, including display set ups
• Managing Bunnings stores in conjunction with third party merchandise company
• Managing and monitoring stock and promotions within retailers, whilst complying with our credit, stock return policies and terms and conditions of sale
• Identifying and researching new business opportunities in the territory
• Complying with all the necessary reporting requirements
• Building relationships with our customers

Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate your ability to manage long term business relationships and you will have strong verbal and written communication skills. In addition, you will have the ability to analyse data and plan accordingly. You will also have:

• Knowledge of retail - hardware customers and markets
• Proven sales experience
• Computer literate
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Strong work ethic
• High commitment to setting and achieving goals
• Current Australian driver's license
