My Pet Warehouse is an Australian based business that provides a comprehensive range of pet supplies via a web store along with shop fronts in NSW, VIC, WA & QLD. We aim to a provide high level customer service, always remaining competitive within the Pet Industry. 

Unlike some of our competitors, we have made a conscious and ethical decision not to sell pets of any kind in our stores. We thoroughly support pet adoption through registered breeders or authorised shelters with a no-kill policy. My Pet Warehouse also donates to local pet rescue organisations through direct donations on a monthly basis.

About the role:

As Assistant Store Manager you will ensure the store appearance is maintained and the stock inventory is accurate. You will follow daily procedures and manage the store in the Store Manager's absence. 

You will have a strong focus on customer service and providing accurate and relevant information to customers. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

• High level of customer service
• Inventory control, stock takes and weekly ordering
• Merchandising
• Ensuring store is clean and safe
• Setting daily tasks for team
• Putting out stock
• Achieving financial objectives
• Compliance with monthly audits

Skills and Experience:

• Proven history in retail
• Management experience highly regarded
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team
• Time management
• Achieve targets and KPI's
• Customer focused
• Attention to detail

Though pet industry experience is favourable, a proven history in a similar line of work will be considered.
 
Please note, this role will involve some physical exertion so the successful applicant must be prepared to be on their feet for extended periods of time. You must be available to work weekends.
