The role
The Global Marketing Operations Manager is a key role to the success of our strategic and global marketing infrastructure. This role is directly responsible for the translation of business requirements into technical priorities, and managing strategic marketing projects to successful completion. Each project is prioritised to increase marketing efficiency and organisational agility and incorporates the ongoing management of marketing’s core platforms (marketing automation, CRM and other management systems).
 
Working with various stakeholders across business lines and regions, all projects managed are dedicated to ensuring our marketing organisation is able to adapt our efforts to quickly and successfully respond to changing customer behaviour, market conditions and business direction to the benefit of improved market share and customer value. 
 
Examples of such projects or initiatives is the identification and implementation of a best practice usage of our recently implemented Adobe Campaign (marketing automation platform), marketing management system and salesforce transformation, establishment of common processes and planning frameworks across the marketing function.
 
 
Responsibilities
As part of a driven and passionate marketing team, working with IT and other stakeholders you will be required to oversee our CRM and marketing automation environment.
  • Management of core marketing systems (marketing automation – Adobe Campaign – CRM Salesforce) used to generate, distribute, and report on leads.
  • Manage and prioritize the work of the Adobe Campaign Technical Administrator to oversee all technical changes required in the Adobe Campaign environment, assist with prioritisation and translate business requirements to ensure an effective implementation of the system suitable for the needs of the marketing organisation as well as finding a technically sound solution to problems. Consistent evaluation of tech portfolio and pressure testing for scale
  • Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimise marketing team performance.
  • Working with IT to ensure Salesforce environment has a sound data architecture and is properly maintained i.e. correct fields for reporting & data queries
  • Establish and maintain scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign and lead management.
  • Analyse marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimisation.
  • Create advanced lead nurture programs within Adobe Campaign and workflow processes, providing guidance to the field marketing team
  • Work with the Digital team to support data capture across the web environment. Support best practice data capture processes to produce leads and build always on workflows to capitalize on engagement with our brand.
  • Support the marketing team by providing Adobe Campaign analysis reporting and platform expertise  
  • Support & train field marketers to utilize Adobe Campaign to the best of their ability.
  • Workflow process development, documentation and communications
Selection Criteria
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing related discipline with technology and people focus
  • 6+ years of experience in Marketing with 3+ years’ experience in marketing operations
  • Experience in Adobe Campaign and Salesforce.com
  • Experience in marketing management positions, process improvement or similar operations positions.
  • Experience in B2B environments with both longer, more complex buyer journey’s and high volume B2B transactional ecommerce environments
  • Experience working in complex global matrix environments
  • Solid strategic planning and project management
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales organisation
  • The ideal candidate is an analytical and strategic thinker with a problem-solving mind set with a strong attention to detail, is well organized, process minded and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
