About the role
This new position will help shape the product development road map for the business by working closely with the Marketing Manager in implementing the company's strategy. You will be responsible for understanding our markets and gathering customer requirements through key clinicians and conversely work with our production team and with suppliers to develop relevant, innovate and quality products from idea to implementation.
Some of the other responsibilities of this position include:
- Manage the product development life cycle (PDLC) for the medical portfolio
- Define technical product requirements and specifications for the portfolio
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal product development processes
Skills and experience
We're looking for a technical product manager who has a background in developing medical device products either within a manufacturing environment or by working closely with overseas medical devices manufacturers.
The candidate should also have:
- A clinical background and some experience engaging with senior hospital based clinical staff.
- A good understanding of regulations associated with the development of medical devices
- A scientific / engineering or equivalent technical background
