Communications Manager
30 - 38 hrs per week

- delivers a range of early intervention and prevention programs through high quality Adult Education, Neighbourhood House, Legal (through the Brimbank Melton Community Legal Centre) and Family Support programs as well as community engagement and development activities.
The Communications co-ordinator is a key position within the organisation responsible for developing the communications, social media and marketing strategies and driving their implementation to promote the goals and priorities of programs of community+.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills with demonstrated experience writing for a range of audiences. The ability to plan strategies and evaluate and report on deliverables is critical for this role.
Applicants should possess a high degree of initiative with a proactive approach to staff and stakeholders to quickly identify issues and respond in a timely way.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate proficiency and confidence in using information communication technology, producing web content and maintaining web sites and social media applications.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and edit content for publications to a high standard and experience liaising with designers, printers and knowledge of print processes are vital for this position. Experience working in a similar role in community organisation or the public sector is highly desirable.
The successful applicant will be required to supply a current Police Check and a current Working with Children's Check. A current Drivers Licence is essential for this role.
