What we need you for:
This is a newly created role and we want someone to really take ownership of Corporate Communications across the business. The role is varied and fun and will see you expertly managing internal communications and campaigns, media engagement, event management, CSR relationships and activities as well as site visits and tour management. Importantly, you will actively engage with local communities and ensure constructive partnerships with a range of charities and events.

Internal Comms: Build and manage the program to optimise the flow of communications between all levels of the business. We would also love you to make our intranet more user friendly and engaging

Media Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key journalists and develop relevant media strategies to positively promote SunRice and the rice industry in local areas

Community & NGO Engagement: Ensure constructive engagement with a range of charities, review sponsorship requests and develop a meaningful CSR strategy

Event Management: Manage some of our key events such as the Leeton SunRice Festival and the Deniliquin Ute Muster

Tour Management: Take charge of our highly popular ‘Paddock to Plate’ tours which showcase SunRice’s unwavering commitment to quality and innovation
About you:
Our new Corporate Communications Manager will either currently be based in the Leeton area or fancy a tree change to country NSW. You will have a real passion for people and nose for a good story which, combined with your talent for innovative communications honed throughout your career, will see you really be able to add value to our organisation. It is expected you hold relevant tertiary qualifications in a related industry such as Communications/Journalism/Arts and it goes without saying your written and verbal communication skills will be exemplary. Knowledge of the FMCG industry will also be highly advantageous.
