My client is one of Australia's leading institutions in the financial services sector and has been around delivering outstanding products and services to the Australian and international community for over 150 years. 
 

As a business, they are looking for a vastly experienced Communications Manager with experience working across the financial services industry.

The role is a contract position, lasting around 6 months, you will receive a very competitive daily rate. The role is also a three day a week role, perfect for those looking for part time work to fit in with their other commitments.

My client need someone who really understands how to deal with difficult situations, read the company mood well and talk to people on a level they can understand and be engaged with.

About the role:

  • The work program is co-ordinating and delivering a number of initiatives that respond to the business issues and challenges moving forward.
  • Communicating the program’s work effectively is critical in order to deepen the confidence of key stakeholders, principally employees.
  • The program will also deliver a number of change programs and organisational change that impacts employees. This work also requires communications support.
  • More than ever, communicating good news stories and positive customer experiences to employees is important in demonstrating the organisation’s value and in rebuilding pride. This, too, is a focus for the role.  
  • The role will work closely with the rest of the Communications team in Public Affairs as well as other teams like culture and people.
     

What is required from you:

  • Manage communications plans and planning for a hugely important internal program of work
  • Lead communications for program milestones and proof points of success, largely for internal channels
  • Support the communication of people impacts coming from the program, including behavioural,cultural change and structure change
  • Contribute to employee engagement and support programs
  • Drive a regular flow of customer experience stories for internal and external channels, using video, text and images 

 

To be successful you'll need:

  • Channel management and content creation for corporate employee communications
  • Communications planning for employee audiences
  • Tertiary degree in communications or related field Journalism experience a bonus 
  • Great writer Video capture
  • Editing for online/social a bonus
