Head of Business Insights

The Head of Business Insights develops strategic insights around customer, competition, marketplace, business performance and investment decisions.
 
You will work as part of the Finance, Analytics and Strategy team based in Sydney. The company's team’s mission is to enable quicker and better decisions. You will be part of a global analytics community and work closely with other analytics teams in the group.
 
Responsibilities

• ­­Articulate key drivers / anchors and their relative contribution to business performance
• Develop a deep understanding of customer, competitor and marketplace dynamics
• Partner with BU leaders to tackle strategic challenges and guide response
• Lead problem solving with curiosity and creativity to drive concise and actionable recommendations
• Provide clear narrative to support business & operational reviews
• Support metric standardisation and implementation of new data and analytics processes
• Educate BUs on data and insights promoting available tools & wikis for teams to self-serve

Requirements

• An established analytical career within an e-commerce, digital media, partly spent in a consulting environment
• A strong academic profile with an advanced degree in engineering, economics or related field
• Expert level skills in SQL, Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint
• Exceptional intellectual curiosity, a passion for problem solving and comfortable working w/ ambiguity
• Advanced communication skills and business acumen to deliver powerful insights and presentations
• Strong interpersonal skills, initiative and integrity
