Hammons Holdings has been appointed the new operator of tourism activities on the Sydney Harbour Bridge and is set to transform the Bridge from a thrilling climb attraction into a collection of iconic experiences. Thatvision is to deliver a broad range of unique experiences to attract a larger audience from growing markets on a more regular basis, embedding authentic stories at the core of each interaction through use of innovative technologies and design. Every visitor will leave with a sense of awe and wonder for the Sydney Harbour Bridge, restoring the icon to its rightful position as ‘The People’s Bridge’.? 

 

Importantly, Hammons Holdings’ vision is to open up the Sydney Harbour Bridge tourism activities to everyone, regardless of physical fitness and economic capacity. 

 

**Please note FelizPuente is the current transition project name. It is the name of the company that owns the concessions.  It means Happy Bridge in Spanish.   

 

 

This role involves working within an established and proactive marketing team, supporting digital initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will play a critical role in bringing the marketing strategy to life, delivering innovative solutions that are in line with business requirements and stakeholder expectations. You will have an acute attention to detail, be highly analytical and have a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize.

 

 

As a Marketing Manager you will be responsible for:

 

  • Day-to-day management of the Marketing Executive
  • Oversight of the digital assests, maintenance and content management systems
  • Lead the implementation of a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns
  • Direct agency partner to drive best in class Search Engine Optimization and organic web results
  • Build, email marketing plan against strategic objectives
  • Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
  • Evaluate, measure and report on the performance of digital initiatives
  • Ability to report on campaign effectiveness
  • Develop and implement a tourism marketing plan for the Sydney Harbour Bridge tourism activities
  • Maintain tourism budget 
  • Oversee creative message development  
  • Oversee design/printing of marketing publications  
  • to implement cooperative advertising programs integrating the tourism related segments 
  • Contribute to and monitor the flow of new web content.  Coordinate with the web maintenance provider to create a bi-monthly report on the effectiveness of the website. 
  • Gather data and prepare annual tourism situational 
  • Run quarterly information sessions on marketing trends and competitive activity
  • Prepare monthly insight led reports on ad negotiations and placements, basic inquiry data and creative initiatives as well as activities of the Tourism Marketing Manager. 

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

 

  • At least three years’ marketing experience with emphasis on digital
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing or communications-related area, highly desirable
  • Ideally a combination of industry applicable experience within the tourism or leisure marketing industries
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Solid email marketing and distribution experience
  • Strong Content Management and CRM experience 
  • Experience managing digital and creative agencies
  • Understanding of SEO, SEM, EDM, e-commerce, Google Tools (Adwords/Analytics)
  • Understanding of and experience with core social media platforms
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage own time, multi-task and work well under pressure
