This role has the core responsibility of driving an effective content strategy that is aligned with the overall external brand strategy. You will be part of a dynamic communications team with a brief of enhancing Australian Hearing’s brand reputation and increase engagement with all stakeholders through a strong online and multi-network strategy. A key objective for the role is to create engaging content that reaches a broad range of stakeholders and you will be reporting to and working closely with the Head of Communications to enhance Australian Hearing’s brand through integrated content marketing, PR programs and major campaigns. 

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Develop a content strategy that is aligned with the overall external brand strategy, is consistent with creating a memorable brand experience, and ensures consistency of key messages across all content formats and channels.
  • Lead end-to-end content production including identifying, researching, writing/producing, editing and publishing content across a range of channels including, but not limited to, collateral, video, website and social media. 
  • Curate content that is aligned to our content strategy and provides additional opportunities for our brand to leverage the positioning, reputation and market-reach of like-minded authors, publishers, writers and organisations.
  • Lead on the production of written collateral and communications.
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Specialist and Digital agencies to track and understand online behaviours and sentiment reactions to our content.
  • Work with the Head of Communications to use research and analytics to regularly optimise our customer led content marketing strategy
  • Support the broader Marketing team with developing compelling and targeted content for customer engagement campaigns
  • Build strong working relationships across the organisation in order to identify compelling stories.
  • Help identify third-party digital channels and publishing platforms where Australian Hearing should be publishing content to reach key audiences.
  • Work within budget and be accountable for project timelines and value for money delivery
  • Stay abreast of current trends in content marketing and develop amplification strategies to ensure content is reaching key audiences across digital channels such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and the web more broadly.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a content creation role. You will also be required to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a communications, journalism or public relations or similar degree.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communication skills and a passionate storyteller.
  • Experience in delivering successful content across all social media channels. 
  • Proficient skills in digital and social media with good working knowledge of online content management systems
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Strong organisational skills and experience in strategy development
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with flexibility and adaptability
  • A can do attitude
