The Position - Part Time

Reporting to the Manager - Events, this is an exciting and dynamic part time role for an experienced training and events management coordinator who can take on the challenge of organising and arranging the delivery of Professional Development Events.  This covers coordination and service delivery of all events and initiatives made available to members, employees and other stakeholders, such as CPA Australia’s Corporate Learning Solutions, Congress, Conferences, Learning and Development Training events, Member Networking and other hoc events.

This role has varied tasks such as:

  • Support the Event Manager by coordinating and facilitating all bookings of suitable venues and presenters, event system management, agreements and budgets.
  • Ensure briefs and evaluations are administered and collected to best inform process and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Organise all flights, accommodation and related presenter requirements such as AV and room set up so that events are delivered seamlessly
  • Update events system to keep information relevant and current for all key users
  • Attend to all member enquiries and build effective relationships with suppliers
  • Contribute to a positive culture within the Professional Development team, working collaboratively, with integrity and with a focus on achieving best outcomes

Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of marketing/event management/CRM-a relevant tertiary qualification is preferred
  • Experience in corporate training, seminar, conference and/or Event Management
  • Understanding of budgets, cost management and purchase order
  • Project management skills
  • Can work autonomously and is agile in switching priorities when needed, even when the work is very hands
  • Strong IT skills – ESA, Microsoft XP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

The role will require a flexible approach and availability to work extended hours during peak periods to satisfy the requirements of event participants and presenters.  Occasional travel will also be required.
