THE POSITION

We have an amazing opportunity available for a marketing professional with entrepreneurial spirit to join the Mecca business in the position of Marketing Coordinator. The Marketing Coordinator will support the execution of the yearly campaign calendar by ensuring that promotions and marketing activities are developed to meet the needs of our customers, brands, categories and business goals.

Some of the exciting main responsibilities of this position include:

• Work with Marketing Manager and broader marketing team to generate industry-leading campaign ideas & promotional activities
• Assist in the creation of 360 campaigns integrating all stakeholders
• Delivery and flawless execution of VIP and customer events. Work with Sales / Training / Marketing to organize event structure, catering, collateral, presenters, VM materials.
• Deliver and review of Marketing Plans & Promotional Activity with stakeholders
• Working with Marketing Manager/team to develop post campaign analysis & reviews
• Manage print production of catalogue, special occasion packaging and other print collateral. This includes sourcing suppliers, oversee production of catalogue, including printing and delivery to mail house & Warehouse
• Produce brand marketing presentations to report on marketing activities, in addition to creating other marketing reports as required e.g.: proposals for collaborations, proposals for brands
• Managing and updating marketing & promotional calendars, timelines and managing adherence to key deadlines

THE PERFECT PROFILE

Our ideal candidate will be a creative, practical, and positive thinker with an energetic, enthusiastic and proactive approach to the work they do. They will also have the following qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or similar (required)
• A minimum of 5+ years marketing experience
• Previous experience in retail and understanding of core retail marketing principles
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of Adobe In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop (preferred)
• Project management experience and ability to multi-task
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient copywriting skills
• Be a team player, with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external contacts
• Ability to adapt to change
• A passion for beauty and instinct for style
