Your new company
This is your opportunity to work with a well known federal government department who have excellent operational standards and a high performing culture. Their Communications branch is seeking an experienced Communications & Campaigns Specialist to develop, implement and evaluate a key campaign for a new project that has commenced 2 July 2018.
Your new role
As the Campaigns Specialist, you will largely work on the implementation of a new campaign designed to support target audiences across Australia to improve their overall living standards and well being.
This campaign involves a range of internal and external stakeholders, so you will be someone who will represent the branch appropriately, whilst also implementing various innovative communications strategies and activities relevant to targeted markets.
These include, but are not limited to;
- Advertising and public relations activities
- Production of products such as promotional materials, good news stories, social media content, and internal communication documentation
- Developing communication strategies and implementing mutually beneficial departmental and stakeholder plans
- Creative development of campaign related materials and launch events
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this 6 month hourly rate contract position you'll need to have proven and demonstrated experience with the following:
- Experience working on the development of a government advertising campaign
- Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating integrated communication strategies
- A strong understanding of communication principles
- Excellent client relationship and negotiation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to juggle multiple tasks at any given time, with competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
Formal tertiary qualifications in a communications discipline and demonstrated experience with the APS will be highly regarded.
