Your new company
This company is a large Australian owned engineering and manufacturing company, specialising in the production of transformers They aim to deliver integrated electrical, electronic and control solutions to improve safety and efficiency in mining, renewable, infrastructure and industrial applications. This role will see you based in Canberra, but working in locations remote from base in the field.
Your new role
As a Services Technician, you will be responsible for performing:
- Technical services for assembly, test, repair, monitoring and maintenance of power and distribution transformers.
- high voltage cable termination repairs
- installing and repairing control cabling
- electrical servicing, overhauls and repair
- electrical equipment assembly and maintenance
- Works in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner according to internal procedures and customer requirements.
- fault-finding and rectification work on electrical switchgear, substations and control systems.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have:
- high voltage and/or electrical mining machinery experience;
- experience working within a high risk environment;
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent) and Electrical Trade Certificate is essential
