Programmed Skilled Workforce is currently seeking Electrical Fitters who wish to start a long term ongoing opportunity in a Heavy Industrial Maintenance Workshop. The purpose of these positions is to contribute to the maintenance of rollingstock and locomotive traction motors and assist in electrical fault finding.
Aspects of this role may include but are not limited to:
- Fault finding of electrical traction motors
- Scheduled preventative maintenance of traction motors
- Repair of broken or damaged motors (with assistance from mechanical fitters)
- May be required to assist in locomotive servicing and component installations
- Operation of forklifts or dogging (if licenced)
What we are looking for in a candidate:
- Trade Qualification in related discipline
- Traction Motor or Heavy Industrial Maintenance experience (highly beneficial)
- Forklift or Dogging licence will be highly regarded
- Strong work ethic and attitude towards safety
