Civil Group is an independently owned and operated Australian-wide drilling and construction business which has established a reputation for quality work, exceptional client service and have been responsible for many high profile projects throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Civil Group is seeking an experienced Plant & Equipment Mechanic. Knowledge of the drilling industry and the equipment used within the civil construction industry would be advantageous. This position will be based at our Loganholme Depot.
Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
- Ability to inspect, diagnose and repair faults on complex mechanical services, plant and equipment
- Repair/replacement of worn/faulty components or equipment, and modifications as required
- Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections and testing on mechanical services and plant and equipment
- Must be able to achieve acceptable standards of workmanship and productivity
- Safe isolation of mechanical and electrical services
- Must be able to work efficiently with minimum supervision
- Welding experience advantageous
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Relevant Trade Certificate(s)
- Previous experience in a similar role and able to demonstrate comprehensive diagnostics and trouble shooting skills
- Driver's licence is essential and 'HR' is preferable
- Construction Industry White Card
- Forklift High Risk Work Licence
- High level of safety awareness and excellent understanding of safe operating procedures
- Basic Computer Skills (including Microsoft Excel)
