Mechanical Fitter

Our client is a well established Australian owned and operated engineering company that specialise in high-quality quality repairs to electrical and mechanical rotating equipment.

Due to their continued growth, opportunities have become available for proactive and enthusiastic mechanical Fitter/Technicians to join their busy workshop team located in Wetherill Park. 

Responsibilities:

• All aspects of mechanical fitting duties
• Repair, test and certify pumps, motors, gearboxes and drives  
• Close tolerance and precision fitting
• Understand bolt torque requirements
• Comply with quality system policies, procedures and documentation requirements
• Other general duties within the workshop 

You will have:

• A trade qualification in Certificate III Engineering Mechanical Trade
• Demonstrated high technical competence or extensive component rebuild experience
• Previous experience with the service and repair of pumps, motors etc.
• Previous experience in manual machining would be beneficial
• Proven mechanical aptitude and capability to deliver quality work
• Experience in process engineering environment - workshop or on-site
• Experience in working within and supporting accredited quality systems
• High regard for working safely and environmentally responsible 
• Understanding of JSA's, safety work plans and required use of PPE
• Ability to work in an adaptable team and use own initiative
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions
• Track record of being accurate and having attention to detail

Both on-going casual and permanent roles are available.
