Our client is a medium sized business on an exciting growth journey after over 10 years of establishing themselves in the security service industry. The role of Business Development Manager is a business-critical role for growth within the commercial clientele, this role will be creating and developing a sales driven division to further grow their brand into a first tier supplier for security services.
  
As a Business Development Manager, you will be solely responsible for generating new business with clientele across Victoria prominently within the commercial SME sector. This role will see you building strong relationships with business by understanding their business requirements, providing your expertise and negotiating tenders to better outline your clients needs and KPI’s.
  
  
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Operation Directors which include weekly meeting to discuss traction and business opportunities
  • Manage a key set of financial KPI’s outlined between the Operations Directors and BDM
  • General new business leads through cold and warm B2B business development, this will be achieved through multiple avenues such as phone calls, business meetings, business drop offs and networking
  • Organising new business meetings with company owners to better understand their requirements
  • Provide expertise advice on security standards, security operations and potential areas of improvements with new clients
  • Write and deliver on tenders negotiated with new business
  • Manage recruitment of new security staff to deliver on new business contracts
Experience and Background
  • 2-3 years working within the security industry ideally within the commercial sector and supervisory level or above
  • Ability to demonstrate business development skills and experience through out working history
  • Hold a passion for sales and business growth with a strong aptitude for negotiating and tender management
  • Driven in their approach with a strong mindset and a can-do attitude
  • Is articulate and knowledgeable within the security industry, holding a strong network of clientele in this sector in the commercial sector is ideal
