The Icehouse is an established packing, print and sampling company. We provide durable custom made binders, packing or product samples, including swatch books, fabric hangers and sample books.

The permanent position of layer and cutter position is an integral role within our team. The key responsibility is to measure and cut fabrics and other related materials.

Daily tasks include:

• Standing at work benches to lay , measure and cut fabrics and other  related materials
• preparing samples for machinists
• Operating cutting machines and hand tools
• Using measuring tapes and rulers and estimating required length of material required for samples
• Housekeeping including cleaning up off-cuts, sweeping and keeping work area clean and tidy

Role Specific Skills:

• Previous experience working as a Layer or Cutter.  
• Experience from the Fashion, Textile or window furnishing industries.
