We are looking for a Maintenance Officer to join the team of a 12 month old aged care home in Avondale Heights. This is a busy, multi-disciplined Maintenance role that requires people skills, time management, attention to detail and flexibility as no two days are the same.
We need a Maintenance Officer who has:
- Proven experience in a Maintenance role in a large multi-residential or commercial building.
- Attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
- Excellent knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Standards and practices.
- Compurt literate and confident with computer-based building systems.
- Ability to manage a budget.
- Effective communication skills and ability to liaise with service providers, residents and staff both verbally and in writing.
- Time Management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
- High fitness level with the ability to work on a range of physical tasks.
- Some flexibility with working hours should urgent issues arise.
- Current driver's licence.
- A current police check or willing to obtain same.
We would love it if you also have any of the following:
- Experience in an Aged Care home or working with older people.
- Trade qualification.
- Experience with building management systems and network-based systems such as access control and CCTV.
- Experience managing contractors and service providers.
- Leadership experience managing a small team.
