About our client:
Our client is one of the largest communications infrastructure companies in Victoria with the capabilities to offer turnkey installations in-house with widespread experience in the telecommunications industry, providing excellence in service to our customers with a committed workforce.
They are looking for 2 enthusiastic civil construction trainees to join their highly successful team.
Position Duties :
• Complete the requirements of the Certificate III in Civil Construction
• Assist with manual excavation and construction site preparation
• Assist with maintaining plant and equipment
• Assist with performing plant and machinery maintenance as required
• Handling construction materials and safe disposal of waste
• Assist with compacting, levelling and spreading materials
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment
• Report site/safety incidents, hazard IDs and near misses
• Ensure all work tools are clean, tidy and in good working condition and accounted for at the end of the day
• Ensure before operating any vehicle, plant and equipment you know how to operate correctly and in a safe manner and operated to manufactures specifications and appropriate licence if required
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained in a clean and tidy condition inside and out
• Ensure the work site clean and tidy all the time
• Represent the company in a professional and respectful manner in everything you do
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner and ask if unsure
• Contribute to work crew environment and work in a team environment
• Understand and assist with completing JSA, SWMS, Risk Assessment, etc
• Any other tasks as requested
