Are you interested in working for a top-ranked Management School which has achieved accreditation from the three largest and most influential business school associations: AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS?
With world-class facilities, ground-breaking research and cutting-edge thinking, we are seeking applications from ambitious, highly motivated and talented individuals who will be keen to play an active role in maintaining and enhancing the Management School’s international reputation for research, teaching excellence and innovation.
This is your chance to join Sheffield University Management School at a crucial stage in our evolution as we have an opportunity for someone to join us who can deliver excellent research and teaching within the field of Marketing. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the areas of sustainable/ social/ethical Marketing, International, or Industrial Marketing and have a strong interest in cross disciplinary research, and a willingness to lead or participate in large scale research projects. There is for example potential to join the N8 Agrifood project. This project seeks to extend food supply chain modelling by integrating ‘supply chain management and life cycle assessment’ with ‘food waste and demand chain management’ to enable the delivery of a holistic production-consumption systems approach in addressing food security and resource sustainability challenges.
You will be a proven thought leader and researcher in these areas, with a distinguished publication record at a world-leading level. You should have significant experience in winning external research funding, with an ambition to grow a critical mass of funding and resources and to provide intellectual direction for research appropriate to the position. You will have a PhD (or equivalent experience) in a relevant subject area and be able to demonstrate skills in the leadership and the mentoring of academic staff in research, publication and income generation activities, and also have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from within the University and from private and public sector organisations.
We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
