The Alzheimer's Research UK Cambridge Drug Discovery Institute (DDI) is seeking a chemist(s) to join its growing medicinal chemistry team.

The Cambridge DDI is part of a network of world-class Drug Discovery Institutes funded by Alzheimer's Research UK and will prosecute drug discovery projects from target to in vivo proof of concept and beyond for novel targets in the neurodegeneration therapeutic area. This is an exciting opportunity to join this growing institute which is based on the prestigious Cambridge Biomedical Campus. 

The successful applicant(s) will have either a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant field or a degree (or equivalent) in chemistry and additional chemistry research experience. They will have a flair for problem solving and a track record of delivering solutions to challenging chemical problems. Moreover, they will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team in order to drive forward collaborative projects.

We welcome applications from candidates with purely synthetic chemistry experience or from a biological or medicinal chemistry background. Further experience and knowledge of parallel synthesis, analytical chemistry and purification techniques would be advantageous. The successful candidate(s) will work in a stimulating and collaborative environment with opportunities for training and development.
