We wish to appoint an excellent researcher to the AHRC funded ‘Living with Monuments: life and cultural landscape between the 4th and 2nd millennia BC in the Avebury region, Wiltshire’ project (PIs Dr. Joshua Pollard and Dr. Mark Gillings). You will be responsible for: designing and implementing the project Geographical Information System (GIS); integrating and analysing the diverse Archaeological, Geoarchaeological and Geophysical datasets being generated by the project; establishing and managing the project’s ARK data management system; assisting with archaeological fieldwork and general post-excavation work.
With a PhD in Archaeology or a related discipline you will have extensive knowledge of GIS with a strong track record in research and publication with a particular focus on the prehistoric period or archaeological landscape studies.
