Organisational Development is a small team based within the Human Resources Directorate which forms part of the Professional Services Portfolio.
The Unit co-ordinates or delivers both Staff and Organisational Development activity in support of achieving City’s Vision & Strategy 2026. The work is spread across three main areas: developing effective leadership; improving organisational effectiveness and creating an enabling culture.
Responsibilities
Working on an internal consultancy basis, the OD Adviser will work with other members of the Unit to partner with Deans, Heads of Department and other senior managers to develop and deliver/commission cost-effective and impactive interventions for individuals, teams or departments. The OD Advisor provides critical logistical and administrative support to projects responding to the University’s people-based needs in support of achieving the Vision & Strategy.
Person Specification
The successful candidate is likely to be a professionally qualified and experienced learning and development or HR specialist with proven experience in a similar role. They will have an interest in Organisational Development and in the Higher Education sector and be able to work in a small close-knit team on a wide range of activities.
