Following recent changes in the School, we are now seeking a part time Lecturer in Youth & Community (0.4FTE)
We seek to appoint individuals with vision who can contribute to the development of the programme and contribute to the development and growth of the department. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates whose expertise is in the areas of international perspectives in Youth Work.
You will combine a passion for teaching and research. The successful candidates will assume a key role in the planning, delivery, assessment and evaluation of the programme modules. They will work with students, team members and colleagues across the wider University to ensure a positive experience for students, monitor student recruitment and retention and address all University quality assurance processes. Teaching and learning experience within the Higher Education sector would be an advantage.
Applicants must be JNC professionally qualified and ideally have a master’s degree or equivalent in a discipline relevant to the area they will be working in, proven communication and organisational skills, an understanding and awareness of the UK higher educational system, and of the issues that may arise in this environment.
The role is varied and challenging, so you will be need to be a highly self-motivated individual who is able to work flexibly and to tight deadlines, both autonomously and as part of a team. You will have outstanding communication and organisational skills and an eye for detail.
