A great opportunity for an interactive and self-motivated bioinformatician or programmer to join Dr Mark Linch (Urological Cancer Biology Group) as part of Prof Charles Swanton’s Laboratory (The Translational Cancer Therapeutics lab, UCL) and to work on prostate cancer evolution and immune biology. Duties and responsibilities of the post holder include but are not limited to: carrying out research on defined funded projects, develop and refine experimental strategies, analyse and summarise research results and write reports and manuscripts to present research results at meetings and conferences. The post holder will play a key role in a prospective immunotherapy translational study. The position is jointly funded by Rosetrees Trust and The John Black Charitable Foundation.

The post is funded for 3 years in the first instance.

The successful candidate must have PhD or be studying towards it, be proficient in one or more of the following programming languages: C++, Perl, Python or R, and have sufficient expertise in statistical analyses. Experience in analysis of high throughput sequencing data and cancer genomics is essential.

The applicant should demonstrate an ability and willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary team with cancer physicians, bioinformaticians and basic research scientists.
