The ProjectIn one of our project, we will prepare a range of functional adsorbents for the removal of heavy metal ions/disinfection by-products (DBPs)/PPCPs/EDCs/PFCs. The adsorbents developed would be characterized with various characterization methods. We will investigate the influencing factors on the adsorption process, the adsorption kinetics, dynamic adsorption, removal efficiency, repeated use of adsorbents, etc. The adsorption mechanism will also be investigated. In another project, we will develop membrane materials for the process of FO, RO, UF, etc. The membrane structures and functions will be studied. The application of the membranes for water filtration and pollutant separation will be investigated.
You will have a PhD degree (by the start date of the post-doc position) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science and Engineering, Material Science and engineering, or a related discipline. Preference will be given to applicants with strong experience in the research field of adsorption and membrane science, including, but not limited to, the development of novel functional adsorbents, adsorptive removal of heavy metal ions/disinfection by-products (DBPs)/PPCPs/EDCs/PFCs, development of functional membranes (FO, UF, etc.), investigation of the membrane process, membrane fouling control, etc. Strong publication record in international peer-reviewed journals is required. You should also be well-organized and self-motivated with excellent oral and communication skills.
